Oh, Deer

I'm glad that you're still alive.

I'm glad that I'm still alive.

I'm glad I was obeying the speed limit (a rarity unfortunately).

I'm glad that my car still drives.

I'm glad the person behind me didn't hit me when I stopped short to try not to hit you.

I'm sad that you leapt from the left side so swiftly that I didn't see you until you were in front of my car grill.

Is it bad that I'm even more sad, however, that the front bumper is now hanging off my car with a little tuft of your fur wedged into it?

I think my car is cursed. DH thinks it's an operator issue. Of course.

You're kidding me! Oh my gosh, I'm glad you're all ok... scary! I'm always terrified of that when I'm driving through a canyon at night, yikes!

NOOOO! Seriously... what a pain, and what a relief you're ok! Sure, DH thinks it's an operator issue, he's my brother. They always think the girls are worse drivers than the boys. Hmmmmm- how many accidents have I been in Mr. T? NONE!! So glad you're ok! Where were you? How is your car? I hope it's fixable without spending too much $$$!

Whit, That is SO scary! Glad to hear you are okay and so are the little ones and the deer too! It stinks when your car gets damaged though. Glad you are safe!

So did you actually hit it? Did the deer survive? That is so scary! I'm glad that you are okay and that the car behind you didn't hit you.

Welcome to the "I hit a deer" club. I left my "tuft" of fur on my bumber for weeks as a conversation piece. It helped me get a couple of dates in college. I did hose off the blood though. It showed up too much on a white car.
